1. Perhaps 'they' have moved further away from warning us and ever
closer in spying on us..

6. Too much political capital to spend. No need for alerts at this point.
It probably wouldn't look nice to have the president wandering around the country trying to convince people to destroy SS when there are all sorts or alerts. Someone might think the president doesn't care (he's too big of a coward) or they're really are fake.

12. That's because most of the websites
that were generating all the terrorist 'noise' before the election have gone out of business. I guess Bu$hCo doesn't need them anymore. Besides, the whole Gannon thing was drawing too much attention to these sites and they were afraid people would catch on. Now they are left to generating their own noise but it's not going very well.

13. Actually Tom Ridge gave press conferences about our supposed
imminent danger. These warnings went well beyond the "web."

14. Like Tom Ridge has any credibility left?
I did a fair bit of research into the origins of these terror alerts and most of it can be traced back to home grown nuts who claim to be 'terrorist experts', who created and generated most of the noise.

Here's one example.

http://209.157.64.200/focus/f-news/1019538/posts

Of course the original link, which looked like a government website is gone but this is just one small example of how their game works. They put the message up on what looks like an official Homeland Security site and then the freepers grab it and start spreading it around. Within a couple of days the M$M pick it the story and in no time at all Tom Ridge would be making an announcement that they were raising the terror alert level. Just about every alert followed this pattern.

17. I think most can be attributed to the WH leaking info to these nuts.
:hi:

Sure Ridge doesn't have credibility with the left, but when he went on national TV and said "danger - danger" Bush's approval ratings magically skyrocketed. Imagine that!

16. Jon Stewart did and he questioned Tom Ridge,
former Homeland Security chief, about it. We watched Ridge squirm and not answer the question. He said words, but did not answr the question.
