God blesses Bush with a distracting Hurricane Isabel
No discussion today of Bush's remarks about "No Saddam Link to 9/11" We're having a (downgraded) hurricane, damnit! No time for politics now! Move along, evacuate!

Again Shrub hits the trifecta.

2. For How Long?
Two days at the most plus another one for photo-ops.

Then he asks Congress for another few billion because he raided FEMA's budget earlier.

3. Possibly Not

If the D.C./northern VA areas gets hit hard enough to require the help of the National Guard, and there ain't no Guard around...

Actually, this has been talked about at length here in noVA , as people here panic at anything weather related.

Yesterday on the radio was a ten minute segment informing everyone how to use 9-1-1. I always thought you picked up the phone and punched 9, then 1 , then 1 again, but hell, I'm just a temporarily relocated New Englander.

5. Not exactly. With all our money going to rebuild Iraq - ChimpCo can't
afford to bail out our own communities!! Come election time - the people effected in the East will probably be fit to be tied after ChimpCo explains we don't have the resources to help them recover fully.

7. Funny, * is having the Jordanian king to a sleepover at Camp David
