What happened to the Carter/Baker election group?
They've been awfully quiet lately. Ever since John Conyers asked to speak with them. Anybody know what's going on???

1. last I heard Conyers was going to be able to sit in on the meetings
but the make up of the committee will not change.

2. Carter-Baker
They have another meeting in early June in Houston, after
which they are to assemble a "report" due late August.

Dr. Robert Pastor, the American U. prof who's the organizer, or under whose "direction" this sham has come about, has been catching LOTS of letters, calls, emails telling him how unbalanced and full of rethuglikan BS the first "panel" was. He may be non-partisan, but so far he seems very naive or he purposely ignored the possibility of true expert input. I believe there may be some non-partisan experts for panel#2

The thrust of the first panel input seemed to focus on "voter
fraud" which is a smokescreen to prepare the way for state-centralized registration databases, which will, of course be controlled by crooks. Voter fraud is an insignificant factor when compared to vote COUNTING fraud and voter SUPPRESSION, among many other evil, anti-American election practices.

Pres.Carter seems to acknowledge that electronics are the culprit. One can pray that he will prevail over the poseurs. And that real experts should be represented on the next panel. If not, the exercise is a total farce.

I look for Carter to issue his own dissenting report, given the likelihood the the rad right will control the final content. Hope Jimmy has grande cojones.
