Rove speaks out
"WASHINGTON — Karl Rove rejected a compromise with Senate Democrats Monday on long-stalled nominations for the federal judiciary and strongly defended President Bush's choice of John Bolton to be ambassador to the United Nations. (Audio: Rove speaks out)"

1. Maybe that's what he was going for
Since the dems were getting bad press now it'll show people how the republicans are.

10. Agreed. Maybe Reid was calling Rove's bluff by going through the motions
of negotiating with Frist. Rove is calling the shots, Frist's presidential ambitions aside. But Reid has to get to Rove by way of Frist. And he knows Rove doesn't compromise or negotiate.

5. So apparently he's not just Bush's brain,
but Frist and Co's as well. Hmmm. That would explain the forehead.

7. Of course

He's the person who makes all the plays and rules. Cheney deals with the oil and Bush is just the puppet who does all the speeches that are, of course, written for him. I wonder who Rove works for, if anybody.

9. rove & these guys are not into civility...
they are drunk with power and they are proud of it. someone needs to push them back across the rubicon while drawing the freaking line in the sand. they will not be deterred otherwise. i only hope the current dem leadership stops tripping over their tongues while trying to position their 'interests' up the middle between people & donors.

that's where republicans have them beat; they have already cut 'we the people' out of the mix and no longer have to worry about it.
