Demand and Demand
All commodities are controlled, period. I live in the land of Avacados and still, the price of an Avacado is outrageous. $1.25 per means that trees holding 500 potential guacamole nuts is worth $625 per harvest. That's why they install razor wire around Avocado orchards.

Now let's see, what other commodities are so controlled? OIL! As we now have the new disease known as "nozzle shock", the top management of all the Oil companies are sitting with their pool designers, shopping for Lamborghinis, and throwing elaborate parties at their new vacation mansion somewhere near Aspen. The true failure of capitalism is that it only works when the government steps in to control the wonton desires of the perpetually greedy.

But the government is not full of corrupted politicos. No, they are nothing more than elevated lobbyist. And we do not have a lazy media. They are paid cheerleaders for the industrial princes that own them.
