Okay, I said I wouldn't do it but I'm doing it
Edited on Fri Apr-22-05 10:46 AM by Walt Starr
I couldn't take Springer any longer, so I've switched over to Stephanie Miller.

So far much better than Springer, even if she does have a thing for Sean (Ins)Hannity.

1. You'll like her, Walt!
Truly! I tune into her every day, then go to Thom Hartman.

I'd really like to get Hartman running on a couple of stations out here in DuPage.

2. Love Stephanie Miller
Her thing for Hannity is only physical. She'll use him and throw him away like the empty headed bimbo that he is deserves.

8. I have no idea how a woman who finds Keith Olbermann
so irresistable can also think Sean Insannity is "cute." :puke:

Keith is so much more so... so... "ON" than Insannity, that putting the two names in one sentence should be illegal.

3. I've never heard her
but chances are she's better than Jerry "Yawn" Springer.

I mean, really. He was doing a dating show this morning.

Before you know it, it'll be a dating show for family members...

4. DU links to the Stephanie Miller show
No AAR for me while Springer is on. I might see who else is on during Franken's show, too.

Randi, though, I must be loyal to, especially on Friday!

5. After this am with Springer, I'm seriously considering bailing.
I'm unimpressed and not amused. There was a brief write up in a recent Rolling Stone about the Springer addition to AAR. Apparently, Franken is not thrilled with Springer's installation. I can't quote or even paraphrase without going and finding it, but the jist of it was that Franken was expressing reservations about whether Springer would be good for AAR.

After this morning's show I tend to side with Franken, whatever role his ego may be playing in the affair.

7. I like her
She is pretty funny and, while she isn't a verbal brawler like Randi, she can hold her own against wingnuts when they call.

9. Springer replaces Morning Sedition in SF!
The Morning Sedition Marks this AM said that Clear Channel and AirAmerica are replacing them on the SF station in the AM with Jerry Springer! How awful! As someone here likes to say WTF! When I first heard that AirAmerica was signing up Springer I wrote them to express my dismay. Last year AirAmerica came on air with great relief and hope. Finally a radio network unabashedly progressive. Now, they are sleeping with the devil - Clear Channel, we have this. So, whose next in this mad rush for ratings - Howard Stern, Judge Judy? How about Ryan Seacrest - no clue about his political leanings, but seems popular with a certain younger demographic? Radio version of the Apprentice would likely pull great ratings! Descriptions of biological processes - like procreation, would sure draw a big audience - especially in the red states! You know there's not much sex education in their public schools! It would be a very useful public service.

Unfortunately, I am the demographic AirAmerica needs to keep, among moany others. I have the money and sense to buy products advertised on AAR. But they are losing me - Al Franken has gotten boring - same schtick (sp?)every day, sel-promotion and a daily lvoe fest with the Demogratic Party establishment (He wants so bad to join that club!). I love Randi, but I have to get past her tone sometimes, to keep listening. Why not give Laura Flanders a prime time show, or put Bernie Ward or Ray Taliafero (KGO - SF) on the network. It is very discouraging to see AirAmerica go sooooooo corporate!

10. AAR is fucking up.
They seem to be going soft and have intentions of churning out sausage for consumption now.

Sedition is good, with Unfilterd gone, I go to Miller, then although Al is 'ok' I go to Hartman, then back to AAR w/RR.

Hartmann is the most intelligent, informed, and articulate man on the radio IMO.
