I've met a few. They all say that they feel betrayed. I don't know how some of the old-timey Barry Goldwater Republicans can take this shit anymore.

1. I'm sure that Barry is rolling over in his grave
he warned about the fundies taking over the Republican Party and unfortunately he turned out to be right (no pun intended)

2. I know one.
He promised that if no WMD were found in Iraq by a certain date, he would change his affiliation from Republican to Libertarian. The date came and went without WMD being found and changed his party.

3. That's great to hear.
I hope there are more like him, and I hope they can avoid the three Gs in the next election cycle.

4. I know a couple
but they have been thinking about it since 2000. They didn't vote for Kerry, but they sure as hell didn't vote Bush. Now that he has "won" again 2 of them have switched to Independent, the rest are waiting on false hope that the republican party will become republican again.

5. We have 2 who just joined our DFA chapter.
One is even willing to help me form a bipartisan local speaker's bureau to alert community groups about the dangers facing our democracy.
