| The Bolton committee hearings have proven a simple axiom |
|
If the Democrats stand united and stick to their guns, they will win.
It's that simple. When faced with a united front from the Democrats, the Republicans cower in fear like the craven cowards they are. The Republicans will cave ever time so long as the Democrats stand united on these issues. If one Democrat steps out of line, the Republicans smell the fear and pounce like the cowardly bullies they have proven themsevles to be time and again.
Given that, it is the activist community which must hold the Democrat's collective feet to the fire. We cannot allow rogue Democrats to bring down the party. Call them. Push them. Thousands upon thousands of letters and emails will keep them in line.
We can win even as a minority because our opponents are cowardly and will not fight when faced with a united foe. That has to be our mantra!

Bolton is being blocked simply because he is even too radical for some Republicans. The lesson here is that radicalism on the part of the pukes is good only because it will cause a schism within the Republican party driving moderates into our arms.
So keep it up Repukes we want MORE Delay, More Bolton, MORE Schiavo shenanigans.....

not cave on someone as ill tempered, inexperienced and inadeqaute for a job as Bolton is. But realize taht even if the Dems hold strong and Bush puts someone just slightly less disgusting as Bolton up for a post, he will get what he wants.
Case in point: Condi "I slept while the Aug 6th memo passed through my hands" Rice

The reason that the Republicans are so fearful of strong confrontation, is that they are not firm in their convictions; they are well aware that they are in the wrong in most cases. The Republicans know that most of the country does not adhere to their radical, fringe ideology and they back off whenever there is the threat that their real agenda will be exposed. The Republicans thrive in the dark, in the shadows, where the populace can be deceived of their true intent. If the Democrats make a hard stand, then light will be shown on their true nature - and this is what they fear most; the light of day...

| 5. I think it is no small fact that these hearings were on C-span as well |
|
The Republicans don't want what they are doing being broadcast for all of the country to see.

| 6. Yep. The case against Bolton was so devastating that Senate Republicans.. |
|
had to stall it for a while. Voinovich was probably chosen because he was just reelected and so will have six years before he has to face the consequences.

Most of the time, they are hidden from the bright lights. Tom Delay likes to work in the dark . When the lights are turned on, they tend to scamper...
