3. Last night, Mike Malloy was discussing the Mormons and how they --

baptize Jews AFTER THEY ARE DEAD in order to get them into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Does anyone have a link to that story? I didn't have time this morning to research that. I think he said the Mormons started doing it in October (last year?) and that they baptized Anne Frank and other Holocaust victims.

The Jews who are objecting to this practice were supposed to be going to Salt Lake City to confer with the Mormon Church leaders on this.

Do you have any further information?

9. One of my children is a Conservative Jew, who married a Jewish --

man and keeps the Kosher laws. The other child was baptized a Mormon, married a lovely Mormon woman and is now teaching Sunday School at their church.

How should I feel about this? It's really a conundrum. We spent several hours in the genealogical center in Salt Lake City, Utah, a few years ago looking up my husband's ancestors. He found the ship's manifest for his father, who emigrated from Russia. I could only find my maternal grandmother, who came here as a two year old with her family.

The Mormons were a big help during that investigation, but I never heard a whisper of this sort of thing. Baptism of the dead, without their knowledge or consent, is really kind of a low point, don't you think?

I believe they baptise anyone who wasn't a Morman. My cousin's daughter became a Morman and wanted a list of all the dead relatives so they could be "saved".
