Can anyone confirm this Lamar Alexander quote from today....?
Someone said Lamar was on Fox news this morning and said something along the lines of...

"We need the UN because we need less Americans fighting wars around the world and we need to have more AFRICANS fighting them."

Does anyone know where/how we can confirm this quote from Fox this morning?

If he really said this, he's got some 'splainin to do.

1. Shouldn't that be "fewer" Americans?

2. I haven't watched Faux news since 2000. Do they have transcripts?
Maybe you could find it on their web site?

4. I am hesistant to believe this.
Lamar is a good man, and is an internationalist. He is moderate and reasonable, and I have always respected him. He may have put his foot in his mouth, and it would be unusual for him to do so. However, I can't believe that he wants the US to be "the world's policeman" as we are so often termed.

It sounds like he's trying to shore up the UN. A tricky job to do on FOX.
