A Sign of Defiance or **** You Charlie

Yesterday, I had to go to my brother's to help him set up a computer, when we got to the turnoff, there in a corner lot where the whole world could see it.
There was a Kerry/Edwards sign, set deep into a garden so that if someone wanted to pull it up they'de have to work at it and make a lot of noise to get there.

I saw it, and immediately broke out in laughter, it just said FUCK YOU CHARLIE in great big capital letters, I told you so dammit.

If some asshole hadn't stole my Kerry/Edwards sign I'd be doing the same thing, only I'd put it right in front of my window and hook up some tincans with rocks in them to let me know if someone was messing with it.

Anyway, thats part of what I wanted to tell you about, he has two sons one nine and the other three with another on the way. He's scared that when the boys hit eighteen that they're going to become cannon fodder for these asshats, so, we're talkiong about where to go in the States to keep them safe.

I've got him thinking hard about Bellingham Wa, near enough to the border that if they have to they can slip across, hell, if I could I'd sell everything that I could and go myself.

So, we're going to be looking into getting his family somewhere safe just in case, but seeing that sign yesterday just warmed my heart up, maybe there is hope.
