12. Probably something black and tight around the butt and wrinkled
and that would be a blessing because all the buttons and bows will not be that much visible and we would not have to be embarrassed for her--again! She may wear beige shoes though. We will however be treated to her very fake "sad" face throughout the whole photo op.

21. It's so disappointing to me
to see DUers descend to this level of sexism. And I find it downright appalling -- no, make that heartbreaking -- when it's a woman initiating it, and women participating in it.

She makes Yeltsin's wife look like Cindy Crawford.

A lot of women worked really hard a number of decades ago to get the discussions ABOUT women elevated well above that. Are there "more important" feminist issues? Yeah, probably, but they're all part and parcel. If the best you can do is relate to prominent women (whoever they are and however loathesome) on the basis of their "fashion sense," you are demeaning and trivializing ALL women, and giving permission and sending strong signals that it's perfectly okay to further demean and trivialize ALL women -- including sexually, which is the next step in the objectification continuum.

There are SO MANY valid, non-sexist reasons to criticize Laura Bush. How sad that you have to resort to this one.
