Getting old is not for wusses
Just returned from having an MRI on lower back. Monday I go for a vascular test, not sure what that is, but sure know about lower leg and foot pain though. Been unable to work for going on 9 weeks. Being a VN vet I'm sure glad to have the VA. Worked all my life in construction and I've never had a job that offered medical insurance. Thank you Veterans Adminstration.

2. I hear ya
Last year I spent several months taking 800 mg ibuprofen every 6 hrs just so I could move around and work. Bad lower back and sciatic nerve. Things gradually got better, at least temporarily. I HATE getting old. Loosing weight helped a lot.

4. My husband is also a vet.
He has to pay for services there, but, still, the VA hospital is a godsend. I wish all Americans could have healthcare that accessible and good -- and there is no reason why we shouldn't.
