Pope has lost conciousness. MSNBC seems to be the ONLY
network with a current European feed. It is interesting that the others have such dated information. This is an example of what media whores the others are. We get NO real news here. Whether one likes the Pope or not, this is international news, and it is obvious how poor the others are at it. I am suprised that MSNBC is as informed as it is!

10. MSNBC is only saying (online, anyway) that there are some reports
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 01:32 PM by nickinSTL
that the Pope has lost consciousness.

I'm listening to the BBC, they seem to have kept pretty up to date.

There was an unconfirmed report mentioned earlier that the right side of the Bronze Doors of St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican was closed, a traditional indication of the death of a pope.

And the man (Cardinal Ruini, Vicar of Rome) who would give the official announcement of death is currently celebrating mass at the nearby cathedral of St. John Lateran.

14. The hammer thing is no longer the protocol
The Carmerlengo calls out the Baptismal name of the Pope three times is all they do now.
