Jay Sekulow and the AC:LJ......he was on Scarborough's show tonite
http://www.aclj.org/AboutJay/Default.aspx

Jay Alan Sekulow is Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), a law firm and educational organization that specializes in constitutional law. He is also Chief Counsel of the European Center for Law and Justice (ECLJ).

....
Sekulow serves as faculty member in the Office of Legal Education for the U.S. Department of Justice where he provides legal expertise to federal prosecutors on the issue of obscenity.

....
In 2005, TIME Magazine named Sekulow one of the "25 Most Influential Evangelicals" in America and called the ACLJ "a powerful counterweight" to the ACLU. The National Law Journal has twice named Sekulow one of the "100 Most Influential Lawyers" in the United States. (1994, 1997) He is also among a distinguished group of attorneys known as "The Public Sector 45" named by The American Lawyer. (January/February 1997) The magazine said the designation represents "45 young lawyers outside the private sector whose vision and commitment are changing lives." Sekulow serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for The Supreme Court Historical Society in Washington, DC.

....

He also received a Ph.D. in American Legal History from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia and is the author of numerous publications and law articles.

NOTE Regent University is Pat Robertson's university.

Sekulow and the ACLJ is featured on CBN, TBN, Focus on the Family.

1. Think of this...
If Terri Schiavo were an intern for Scarborough, there would've been no need for life support.

3. Let it be noted...
That a story that ran a while back stated that lawyers and prosecutors consider Regent U. law graduates some of the most legally clueless on the planet. That they generally tend to waste the court's time with meaningless and doctrinally-shaky arguments that leave all that hear them rolling their eyes.

5. Sorry for the late reply. Busy with a website.
No, sorry, but I don't. It was a while back. Something from a Virginia lawyer.

6. Argh! I hear that asshat Sucklow raving all the time...
He has a show on the local right-wing Fundie radio station here in Los Angeles. That's KKLA, which really needs one more "K" in that call sign to be Fair And Balanced.

Sekulow is wholly funded by Pat Robertson, who created the "ACLJ" as opposition for You-Know-What.

Like all good religious shows, Sucklow always ends with a pitch for money "to keep us on the air and in the courtrooms."

Some of the call-ins are pretty funny. Mostly Fundies wondering why their evil atheist employers don't let them hold prayer meetings and faith healings during company time, etc.

Usual Disclaimer: atheist. I don't have a god in this fight.
