USA Today article quotes top reporters about toeing the Bush line when reporting the war. Now isn't that special???

Haven't sites like http://TvNewsLies.org beem saying that all along? Isn't that why so many people supported the war?

Let's see if this story gets on CNN (Their Christiana Amanpur is one of the journalists making the admission.

3. Anyone see a CNBC show called TOPIC A?

Topic A with Tina Brown aired last week. Her guests were Al Franken, Christianne Amanpour and Victoria Clarke. Christianne said she was censored by CNN for doing run of the mill reporting.

Here are her comments:
Ms. AMANPOUR: Can I--can I just say--I have to say, I mean, having covered so many of these conflicts and having been at almost every US military intervention of the '90s and basically the last 14 years, and to be frank, having supported many of them, I am still very uneasy about this one and particularly the relationship between the media and the administration. I stood in Baghdad at the end of the war and did what I thought were perfectly routine reports about the looting that was going on and the various beginnings of--I mean, you could use the word chaos...

Mr. FRANKEN: Chaos.

Ms. AMANPOUR: ...others think that might be too strong, but the beginnings of that and the Secretary of Defense basically accused people like me of selectively editing, of misrepresenting the truth. If you remember, there was a--a famous quote of his, "Oh, that same old vase..."

6. I saw Dan Rather interviewed a few weeks ago on one of our networks

in Canada...He was asked by the reporter whether he and the U.S.A. journalists were doing an honest job of reporting the facts in Iraq....I don't have his exact words but he actually came out and said "I may be a journalist, but I'm an American first!"...Then he went on to say "I try to not let my personal feelings interfere". This sort of sums up the journalistic integrity of most of the reporters over there IMO....
