3. I hope
even the Resident Bush Supporter at my workplace is grumbling

bush*'s numbers are at or close to where they were pre-9/11. The only thing that saved his sorry butt was 9/11

since then, whenever his numbers have dropped significantly we get a terra-lert or some other related booga-booga

so...given the recent numbers (which bush* doesn't pay any attention to) will we have a terra-lert, terra-ttack, some diversion on a totally different issue, or will he just invade another country?

Oh. Nevermind. False alarm.

What were you saying just then?

Hold on a sec...wrapping myself in this flag. Here, would you stand next to this cutout of Jane Fonda? Fantastic. Are the cameras rolling? Good.

Go ahead.

But in your blog, you mention that Congress "blocked states from collecting sales taxes on Internet purchases". Most Internet purchases fall under the category of "interstate commerce", and the precedent here is that a state does not have the right to charge sales taxes on purchases from vendors who do not have a physical presence in that state. The states can, however, tax mail order purchases that are completely within their own boundaries.
