T.V. Networks pay attention here is a freebie.
Idea for new reality show.
90 minutes. Start with ten current political topics. Give the list of topics to the RNC and DNC at the same time and let them know in what order they will be discussed. Both side will be allowed to choose one elected office holder of there party to represent there side. The discussion will be on the same night of the week in the same time slot. A coin toss will determine the order who starts opening comments on the first show after that they take turns. Opening comments will be limited to 10 minutes each. There will be a moderator who will ask both sides questions that there opponent had submitted and that are directly related to the topic only. Each question will be permitted a 3 minute response. The last 10 minutes will be the reality check, fact checkers will confirm or rebuff the opening comments and Q and A. Then rate participants on truthfulness and adherence to topic with points awarded. High score wins. All statements must pretain only to the topic. This will eliminate grandstanding and changing subject matter. The moderator will ask only questions submitted by the participants. The moderator will not interject or ad-lib. The moderator will inforce the rules and the clock. The moderator will not show bias or ingage in small talk of any kind. At the end of the program the next weeks topic will be anounced. Both side will have 72 hours to inform the network who was chosen to represent there side. At that time the network can start promoting the next participants and show topic. Interactive polling will be used to gage public reaction only.

3. What?
No food challenges? No voting anybody off? No Big Brother cameras? No screwing you friends into the ground? :wtf:

What kind of reality show is that? People wouldn't like it. They'd have to think about boring issues and it makes sense. People want escapism, totally brainless drivel that takes no mental ability to watch. Perhaps a show about Congressional Republicans? Not a lot of brain activity going on there. I think that would be perfect for Shiavo Amerika.

7. Kinda like
During Adlai Stevenson's 1956 presidential campaign, a woman called out to him, "You have the vote of every thinking person!" Stevenson called back, "That's not enough, madam, we need a majority!"

and the networks might go for it. Have a break and make the pols eat in a cafeteria instead of a 5 star eatery for the fear factor angle.

"Ok Mr. Delay, we have a ten minute break - to stay in the game you HAVE to eat this slightly warm potato salad and the lime jello with marshmallows AND drink this tepid iced tea off this Styrofoam plate. Ready? Go"!
Oh, and to be clear - different pols in swimsuits than Delay and company. Maybe have the interns...
