So the hyperbole is on both sides, I'm afraid.

She is neither. Frank happened to document the single greatest human tragedy of the last 100 years, and Parks volunteered. Schiavo is a woman abused by life and her own troubles, to the point that those troubles ruined her body and left her to the tender mercies of a mob of fake Christians with axes to grind and political chits to cash in.

It ain't the same thing.

In response to posts like "Why all this attention on one woman Terri Schiavo" I responded "It's 1955: Why all this attention on one woman Rosa Parks".

The point wasn't that Terri Schiavo did anything at all, much less did something like Rosa Parks. That, frankly, would be stupid.

The point was that a story about one person sometimes has much broader implications, and that is why all the attention. But out of context you wouldn't see that.
