Michael Schiavo gets death threats from "right to life" lunatics.
I suppose "right to life" applies only to some people and not to others:

Love the fetus, screw the child. Save the fetus, kill the abortionist. All life is sacred, but killers under 18 should get the death penalty. If you're not a Christian, torture is okay. Feed Terri, murder Michael.

These are just some of the beliefs of a demented cult that we call the religious right. Evidently, they have more clout with the White House, the congress, (and the governor of Florida), than all the rest of us.

So why would any sane Republican continue to vote for Republicans?

2. It's sick
I don't get it either. Don't the real republicans see what has happened to their party? They are a cult. And it's so hypocritical that they're trying to "save" Terri for the "culture of life" while giving death threats to anybody who steps in their way. These people scare me.

6. These folks are such fools
not a one of them realizes Terri's fate has been out of Michael's hands for quite some time now, it's in the court's hands. Even if he were to change his mind or accept a hundred million dollar "bribe" there is nothing he can do to change what have been proven in court to be Terri's wishes. All he did is get the ball rolling.

9. I Was Wondering When This Would Happen
I'd say that brave Judge Greer needs protection too. P. Robertson was foaming at the mouth about both him and the husband on CNN just minutes ago.

12. We've all but gone over a cliff.
Robertson, Falwell, Dobson, et al can whip up a couple of million people (who are incapable of rational thought) into a murderous frenzy.

As a devout agnostic, I shy away from the term "evil." But perhaps I should come to terms with the fact that it actually exists. And if so, it seems to have run amok in this country under the cretin presently occupying the White House.

10. I think this is a serious concern
These crackpots can be dangerous. They have been whipped up into a frenzy over this case and I would not be surprised if someone doesn't peel off a few rounds at one of the enemies of life.

These people are dangerous and pissed and some of them probably have guns.

This is a crazy bunch he's up against, and if you ever raise your head to take a stand they oppose, they've got you in their sights!
