This RW move was never about Terri, it was to put a bullseye on judges.
Republicans/Corporations now control the legislature and the executive branch, their one last piece standing in the way is the court system. Its the last power available to a regular person to bring grievances and search out some form of justice.

Delay, Rove the rest of them aren't stupid, they think long term. We find ourselves today in the current situation with Bush, the RW and a neutered MSM due to careful planning for the last 30 years. This is the next stage.

Watch as this slowly is spinned into a anti-liberal judge witch hunt. Remember when Iraq was about WMD? Now its all but forgotten in the MSM, its all about freedom. The same will happen here, this will be spinned into the public barely remembering Terri and it will just be a story about crazy out of control judges.

Loosing the case didn’t matter it was all about getting out this message Judges = overstep their bounds, radical etc. This is the subliminal message they want to tap in the next few years and they are priming the pump now.

2. Sadly
most of the judges involved in this were Republicans. If they try to mess with the courts after such blatant partisanship, they will get as shut down as FDR was in 1937 when he tried to pack the SCOTUS.

3. The war on the judiciary has begun
Taking out the seperation of powers so one Republican dictator can ram their agenda down our throats forever, without the 'radical' black robed tyrants stopping them

5. Why do they complain? 58% of fed judges were appointed by GOP presidents.
They DO control everything, including most of the media, yet they whine like stuck pigs, no matter what.....they are totalitarian scum.

15. Because even these judges are too reasonable and rational.
I heard a male caller on c-span a couple of mornings ago and he mentioned privacy which I think is also a large part of this. 'Privacy is what the liberals use in relation to abortion, gay-marriage and the sooner we eliminate this the better'. He went on to say that no one has or should have a right to privacy in life. Needless to say I was more than a little rattled.

10. Not That a CBS Poll Means a Darn Thing But...
anecdotally, CBSNews.com readers see it this way:

--- Why did Congress get involved in the Terri Schiavo case?

Concern for Terri Schiavo:
12.35%

Politics:
87.65%

NOTE: This is not a scientific poll. The results above are for information purposes only, and should not be confused with the results of the scientific polls conducted by CBS News. ---

9. they might have a problem
the Atlanta court decision was 2 no (1 Clinton appointee, 1 BUSH SR. appointee), 1 yes (CLINTON appointee). How can you call that one activist judges?

Then there is the judge who ruled against the pharmacist (CVS Pharmacy) who refused to dispense birth control pill prescription. Ruling said he had a duty to give it to another pharmacist to dispense (the man would not give prescription back to the woman)if it went against his religion. Guess who appointed that judge? CHIMPY! lol

11. Absolutely on the money
that is all this is about. Even though the general public may disagree with the actions by Congress, Bush and his other brother Jeb, in this case, it plants the seeds. When they hit the airwaves with the repetivie phrase of "radical", "left wing" "reactionary" judges, heads will be nodding. The lemmingizing of the American Public.

12. I agree.
It was obvious in the closing remark of *'s little speech from his SS stumping a few days ago--"It's up to the judges now."

The way the theocratic cult works is to create a reason to do what they are going to do anyway. They mobilize their cult base, a small minority who make a lot of noise, to make it look like they won the election, that there is a reason to be in Iraq, etc. Now they will make it look like it is justified that they ended the filibuster option.

The objective of stacking the court with God's judges has been big on theocracy cult radio stations ever since the fraudulent election. * must be able to apppoint the ones who are aligned with "God's" will. They will get rid of any one who doesn't do *'s bidding. The SCOTUS vote may even have been prearranged to allow there to be a flap over judges and courts. What ammo would they have if the SCOTUS had sided with them? In the way the press will spin it and the way non-thinking people will remember it, it will be all about the judges letting this poor woman starve to death. The reality of the SCOTUS RW judges deciding against it will be minimized. It will be all about how * must have the power to appoint whatever judges he wants.

Must have the theocratic-corporate agenda judges in there! That's all there is to it.
