7. no this latest ploy by jeb is in Greer's hands now...
and the news isn't all that fresh, it's been reported all over everything for over an hour now.

CNN is saying the decision could come at any moment though. Highly unlikely that it will be what jeb wants to hear though...

16. I think he ruled already.

while a Florida judge reinforced his order to keep her feeding tube from being reconnected.

(snip)

On Thursday, before ruling on the custody question, Greer reinforced that order.

Florida intervenes again in Schiavo case

Thursday, March 24, 2005 Posted: 7:38 AM EST (1238 GMT)

Florida Gov. Jeb Bush announces a new legal filing in the Terri Schiavo case.

TALLAHASSEE, Florida (CNN) -- The state judge who ordered Terri Schiavo's feeding tube removed says he will rule by noon Thursday on the latest effort by Florida officials to intervene in the brain-damaged woman's case.

A petition by the Florida Department

---------------------

The SOTUS denied to hear the case. This is a different situation. A FL judge (Greer) will rule on this.

3. If that's true, can't he be impeached for losing it?
Is this what Floridians have a governor for? To noodle around in his personal obsessions while acting as governor? This is somehow better than getting a blowjob while multitasking as president? :wtf:

4. It's like watching a train wreck.
I can't believe it. How can he NOT see what a disaster this is? God forbid my governor EVER stepped in to MY life and tried to decide what's best for me. Talk about a God complex. I agree with the observation of a DUer I read a few minutes ago - the whole family is full of megalomaniacs and narcissism.

26. Terri isn't brain dead
you doofus guy (with the sign). She's severely brain damaged (to the point of having very little brain left). But that doesn't fit well on a sign, I suppose.

This is what happens when you let fundies have too much power and control. If you don't make them happy then get ready to be eaten alive.

I think I'm going to enjoy watching this!

9. faux news--misleading the public since 1996
Uh, Jebbie asked for custody YESTERDAY. The Court made a preliminary decision rejecting that request and indicated a final ruling would come today. Which it did, when the court turned Jebbie down again. The only way the Fox headline could make sense is if Jebbie is now going to take the denial of his request to the Florida appellate courts (where he'll almost certainly lose) and then, I suppose, to the US Supreme Court (where he'll lose again).

Next step: Bush makes a citizens arrest of Terri for "faking" her condition.

after this is all over.

Seriously, that's all he's doing. Watching his own ass. When you lie down with dogs, don't be surprised when you get up with fleas.

He knows he's not getting any such custody. I doubt most fundies want to think that far - they'll rally behind him, though.

Either way, this is a losing proposition for Jebby. Hopefully, he will land on a rusty spike when they boot his ass out of the Governor's mansion.
