Hi DUMB, since I know you'll be seeing this. I must give you credit, because you did post my response stating that FR also bans posters of dissenting opinion.

You say you post DUMB for your own entertainment, which obviously you are entitled to do. It is a forum for your purposes in which you attack DUers, and they are not entitled to respond.

Pot, meet kettle.

Your characterization:
I find the Left extremely funny sometimes, particularly the raving extreme leftwing present at the DU.

Certainly there are extreme viewpoints on DU, as there are on FR. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Last time I checked, this was still America.

Frankly, "they do it too!!" is hardly a defense for the general behavior of the administrators at DU.

The Admins do not need to defend their viewpoint or behavior as this is a private board, and they are upfront in the Rules. As is, to their credit, FR. Although I find it "funny", as you would say, that "free" finds its way into the title of their website despite this practice.

You choose to attack DU for a practice that is also practiced by the most popular Rightwing forum. The most popular Rightwing forum contains its share of tinfoil conspiracy wackos, that you seem to find so entertaining here.

Furthermore, the nature of your forum is such that those you attack cannot even respond, unless you are tolerant enough to post a response such as this one. You are entitled to engage in such hypocritical behavior, and we are entitled to call you on it.

2. Congrats

I made it there once too. We're a public board, so our remarks are fair game, but my statement about the impending death of Ronald Reagan was distorted. I was accused of dancing on his grave, when I was doing nothing of the sort. I was urging people here to simply hold conservtaives to the same standards of decorum they imposed on us after Paul Wellstone's death. Should that decorum be violated, we should point that out to people.
