Because that's a GREAT message for my daughter...Saint Terri of Eating Disorders. :eyes: It may be somewhat cruel to mention, but bulimia is the reason why she's in this state. She's not a martyr, she's not a hero, she's a woman with unhealthy body image.

If there's a lesson to this, it should be that people can and do die from starving and purging. THAT is what I want our daughters (and a growing number of sons) to learn from all of this.

- these people are unthinking uncritical sheep with brains not unlike the unfortunate Terri herself. If they could only see (and smell) the great steaming pile of hypocrisy that's being served up to them.

The Republican President, the Republican Congress, the radical fundamentalist extremist Christian groups - all those who are staunch defenders of the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman are hell-bent on trampling on the rights of a male husband to make decisions for his incapacitated female wife. If they believe so much in heterosexual Christian marriage, why are they demonizing Michael Schiavo so much ??

It would be side-splitting if it wasn't so tragic - for goodness sake let the poor woman go to her Lord - enough is enough.

Exactly. You gotta wonder at their choosing to highlight World Water Day at this time. How many other insignificant "holidays" do the people over there ignore?

World Water Day is a 1992 United Nations creation, not even an American holiday. I may be wrong but don't think I've ever seen them highlight holidays in other countries or that were proclaimed by other bodies.

And the holiday has been around for twelve years. Did Google come up with a cute icon for it last year? Somehow I doubt it.
