The FBI and tribal officials in northern Minnesota are investigating a shooting at high school on the Red Lake Reservation.

A tribal official tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that up to six people may be dead. The shooting took place some time Monday afternoon at the Red Lake High school. There are also reports of several injuries.

The North Country Regional Hospital says it has admitted four people as of this publishing, and that they expect more victims.

The shooter is in custody. The FBI in the Twin Cities plans to hold a news conference later this evening to bring new details. Stay with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS for the very latest.

18. It's wierd. It happened during the 2:00 hour, right when I was watching
Edited on Mon Mar-21-05 06:35 PM by Bombtrack
the "Earshot" episode of Buffy in syndication on FX.

I remember the day of Columbine was the first day I ever played paintball. I came home from a joyous day of shooting and getting shot by my friends to the news of that horror show.

20. I just don't get it
When I was a kid my father had a gun rack, well not guns, rifles for hunting, I never or my brothers and sister ever thought anything of the guns. They were there for hunting. This was my father's property and we respected it. Off the subject but concerning respect, my parents bedroom was also off limits. I have a problem that our children are not being taught respect. I know many of you do, but respect is so lacking in our society. Another thing is, my brothers bedrooms were their's, I didn't think of entering it without asking, my sister and I shared a bedroom, she had her things and I had mine, we didn't go into each others stuff, there was respect.

Guess I kind of veered off the subject, but guess everything comes down to respect f or each other's beliefs and that is not happening today. It is now my way or the highway even if it causes death or a person's self esteem.
