If you support sticking the bloody tube back into the animated corpse
read the REAL agenda behind this:

To: ambrose
Promising, but might seem hypocritical. A real bill should do away with this issue for everybody. No favortism for the privileged or lucky who get press. We need a bill to overturn this "dying wishes" non-sense and end the concept of a living will. Ban them.

Just stick the tube back in...it's already been pulled out what "twice" before with "court decisions.'

Playing around with this person's life is so grotesque at this point then yeah..hell I agree Stick the Damned Feeding Tube back in and when the courts decide once again...pull it out...and stick it ...and pull it out and stick it in.

FGS! This is a fellow human being we are talking about here! Where is the humanity. Let the families war with each other and keep the rest of America OUT OF THEIR PRIVATE BUSINESS!

This is a circus...and it only gets worse with the consequences for you and I more grim ...that we may end up with all our private lives dehumanized by these right wing Fundies who want the "GUBMIT" in everything...contrary to what they always said. :puke: on them!

Strange, but it sounds like just what's been going on...the "fucking" of Terri...her wishes as determined by the courts, and her husband's.

And she still hasn't felt a thing.

38. Thank You!
No matter what our POV about this situation, I think that you nailed one thing that we should ALL be disgusted about, KoKo. They are playing games with this woman's life. They keep taking the tube out, putting it back in, taking it out. It's disgusting how Terri, who is still a human being, despite being severely damaged, is being used by both sides right now.

22. That's why I've been using my rhetorical devices
Somebody who has taken the emotional side of the issue is shocked at my rhetoric, clicks on the thread, and reads that the ultimate goal of those pushing the Shiavo case for fifteen years is to put an end to people having living wills.

It's done for shock value, first to get them into the thread and then to reveal the ultimate goal of those who have pushed this for so long.

24. Look at how the rhetorical deice has worked
Edited on Sat Mar-19-05 09:37 PM by Walt Starr
Those on the emotional side of this debate see my shocking thread title, click on the thread, and find out the ultimate goal of these ghouls who have pushed this case through nineteen judges, a dozen doctors, and fifteen years of litigation is to end the right for a person to have a living will.

Notice too, the rhetorical device exists only in the thread subject line, not in the post itself.

BTW, has Bill Maher changed his spots of late, or did I misinterpret his leanings at first?

My son says it's just so he can keep his gravy gig and not go the way of Howard Stern.

He did say that on the show I mentioned. When Belzer started in on her, Maher said she was a friend and a guest, but I was hoping he was just being polite.

After that show, and the one last night I saw, and also an interview with I don't remeber who the other day, I really am not a fan anymore.

As for Stern, he wastes air time, IMO. He has a great opportunity to do some good, but he has the mind of a 12 year old. "Show me your ti#s" is all he can ever manage to say.
