4. Come on!
Don't you remember how back when this Lebanon thing started, he seemed genuinely happy that it looked like there was a chance that maybe, just maybe, all the poison George Bush had dumped into the world spring of Democracy had help in one positive thing? CLEARLY the man is a diehard Republican neocon fascist!

6. CLEARLY the connection between your two observations deserves ridicule!
He a comedian for a fake news organization.

Anyone who pays any attention to his show on a regular basis will easily recognize he revels in making a mockery of right wing hypocrisy.

Oh yeah, did I mention he's a comedian for a fake news organization?

Gees, let's get some perspective here. He's not a politician, yet we hold him to the standard we should be holding the LEADERS in our party to? Stewart says things our Dem leaders don't have the balls to say, yet SHOULD be saying.

Perspective people!

8. I love Jon Stewart
He's probably the ONLY person in public life that really has my respect. Part of what makes him what he is, however, is that he doesn't have exactly the agenda that we do. Sure, I think he's basically liberal, but I think that we'd be somewhat anti-Bush even if he weren't the absolute worst excuse for a president that this country has ever seen. His philosophy wouldn't be one that we shared even if his IQ was in triple digits and he was more moderate than fascist. Jon Stewart would still probably not vote for him, but he would be more objective than we would, because that's how he sees his job.

Right now it seems his main agenda is to bring to the abject failings of the MSM to the public at large. He might feel that if things were not so bad in that regard the democracy in America would be much safer, regardless of the politics of the moment. I certainly think that. Jon Stewart seems to be a small "d" democratic voice, rather than big "D" and that's OK because we need the former so that that latter can be effective.
