Progressive-friendly media: What's the status, people ?

I repeat my familiar refrain: Until we have more progressive-friendly media that the bulk of voters watch, listen to and read, we will continue down the path of defeat. Does anyone know, besides the ongoing expansion of Air America and the new progressive FM station Clear Channel is setting up, what the status is ?

LOS ANGELES, (Reuters) - Clear Channel Communications Inc. said it is launching a progressive talk station on the FM band in Texas as part of its ongoing effort to capitalize on demand for liberal-leaning talk shows.

The new format will debut on KRPT-FM in San Antonio, Texas on Thursday morning with syndicated talk show host Jerry Springer leading a line-up that will include Ed Schultz, Phil Hendrie, Alan Colmes and the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

The latest station "flip" features programming from Democracy Radio. Unlike Clear Channel's (Research) other conversions to progressive talk, this particular station will not be carrying programming from Air America, a liberal talk radio syndicator, the company said.
