"Bush remains fairly popular with an approval rating of 50%..."
That is what I learned from a radio newsbreak just now.

Oh, and Michael Jackson showed up in court today not wearing pajamas.

Seriously, that is what they said.

That is all. :)

5. Yes, I never realized that 50% qualified as popular.
Wouldn't it have to be at least 51%?

7. 51% is more than popular. 51% gets you a man-date don'cha know.
The corporate media is useless.

10. Well, clearly the more important measure of a person is...
whether or not he or she is wearing pajamas. That's what we really should be asking.

In fact, I hear there are these people called bloggers who wear them all the time. :scared:

9. I don't believe these poll numbers.
They never seemed right through the election period - with the exception of zogby. CNN/Gallop polls seems to take the desired results and manipulate the process to come up with those numbers. In an erra where everything we hear in the MSM is a Lie (either by commission or ommission) do you think they would admit his approval ratings were (for example) 38% ?

12. Latest numbers...not good for * (except for Fox/Opinion Dyn..haha)
Here are the latest. On AP he’s 50% disapprove. Zogby has a 54% disapprove (fair/poor). Things must be bad for him because Fox/Opinion Dynamics has him at 52% approve, 39% disapprove. They’re propping him up. These are very low numbers poised to go lower.

AP/Ipsos
3/7-9/05 Approve *48*.Disapprove *50*

Zogby
2/25-27/05 Excellent/Good *46* Fair/Poor *54*

Fox/Opinion Dynamics
3/1-2/05 Approve*52* Disapprove *39*

13. And from another article...
March 14, 2005 -- A new ABC News/Washington Post poll finds President Bush's overall job approval rating at 50 percent, matching its pre-State of the Union level.

Sampling, data collection and tabulation for this poll were done by TNS.

As he did two months ago, the president continues to encounter stiff headwinds on Social Security. Just 35 percent approve of the way he's handling Social Security (it was 38 percent on the eve of his second inaugural). And a majority of Americans, 58 percent, say that the more they hear about Bush's proposals on Social Security - the less they like them.

The interviews with 1,001 adults were conducted Thursday through Sunday, and the results have a three-point error margin. Note: the figures may add up to more than 100 percent because of rounding.

14. 50 percent when you have all the media & your show is stage-managed
is not good! Most of that is his cult which does not "think" so they should be left out of the poll.
