2. Wow, they have the same "ideological purity" arguments we have.
Talk about going through the looking glass.

I've been a harsh critic of certain Dems at times and I have to admit, they could replace Condi with Hillary and it'd be like lookin at a thread here.

That said they are barely comprehensible there and a bunch of nut cases. It's hard to even view one full thread before closing the tab in firefox.

5. I've unfortunately gone to that site
In general I try to read/learn all the different points of view on different subjects. I've been a lurker here for a few months now, and I followed a link over to Freeperville.
I've read a few posts, and I was disgusted. It just seems so hateful over there. It's pretty much, they're right, you're wrong and oh BTW you're going to hell for not agreeing with us. I've avoided it like the plague since.

6. What a cesspool that place is.
Last night was the first time I ever saw that dreadful place I just can't believe how close minded and vile they are.

7. Wow!! it's obvious that many of them vote on that one issue, alone!!
If Adolph Hitler rose from the grave and proclaimed himself "pro life" they'd probably....uhhh....never mind.

The point is many would "sit this one out" and "let Hillary have it"!

Is this thinly veiled racism on there part? After all, Hillary would adopt a pro choice stance as well, so I see no other reason for them to shun Rice.

19. Hitler was against abortion
...for "Aryan" mothers. All the rest he wanted enslaved or dead. Gosh, after looking at FR they don't sound all that different...

8. I really like the poster who is pro-life except in case the live of the
mother was in danger...how self centered is that. She is probably a mom so she votes to save herself instead of her baby.

On the other hand..She feels qualified to choose one live over another....Oooops!...did I say she chooses...no...she's anti- choice..isn't she?....weeeeelll....now I'm confused. Where does she stand...mom...baby...neither....both....Hmmmmm!

9. DUers Who Can Visit FReeptown
...and come back without retching or losing their marbles have my admiration--and my gratitude for the news the bring back with them.

I've tried it myself, but I think I could ingest the contents of a car battery with more ease than I could hang around FR. It's like being in the center of a Klan meeting (or backstage at FOX News).

"Mildly pro-choice." Hah! There goes the presidential bid. It must be like a freaking nuke went off at the FR boards...

10. What a sh!tty site
I've never visited it b4 as much as I've read about it. You have to be an idiot to be able to read its formatting. It's like taking arms full of words and dumping it on a page. Extremely painful to read and or keep up with the threads.

They're completely useless, but they're sometimes fun to play with, and you can't help but giggle when they fall down the stairs.

14. She is also pro Affirmative Action - so there is no way they could
let her run for President. All example of regulations in the markets that benefit the public have to be erased. Otherwise humans will wake up and think that they have a right to use the same tools - for the same efficiency of delivery benefits that corporations do. And everyone knows that corporations are the real inheritors of the earth.

15. What the hell does 'mildly pro-choice' mean, anyway?
That's a bizarre way to describe one's ideological leanings.

20. That means, abortion should be legal except when the mother is pregnant
At least, that's how they explained it on Saturday Night Live

17. I don't think Rice could win the Republican nomination
African-American "mildly?" pro-choice woman

Vs

WASP anti-choice male

No prizes for guessing who would win the primary. We all know about the sexism and racism that is an active undercurrent in the GOP faithful - this will exclude Condi alone.

18. This is wy I'd love to go into '08 with Hillary as the undisputed nominee
That sort of infigting is what happened to DU during the primaries. If Hillary is relatively unchallenged in the primaries, she'll skate to victory.

Five short months ago, Repubs were saying that to be qualified to be president, a candidate should have been a governor first.
Being just a senator didn't quite cut it. (Then)

I've read through about 10% of the posts at Freepland on this thread, and I have yet to see a single one that points out what qualities and experience she possesses to make her a good candidate for the job.

Other than being a champion Bush Ass-kisser, of course.

22. They didn't seem to mind Arnold being elected
And they don't seem to mind Rudy or Pataki. I remember the jubilation over there on the night that Bloomberg won. I couldn't understand it then, since he was self-admittedly a Democrat with an (R) after his name.
