On 5 March 1942, the U. S. Navy Seabees (Construction Battalion) was established as an engineering unit whose purpose was to build shore facilities in combat areas for the Navy and the Marine Corps. 63 Years later the Bees are still busy all around the world. God Bless Em.

1. My Dad was a Seabee

in Guantanamo Bay during the missile crisis. He was building a bridge one day, standing along a fence with a rifle the next.
