?O'Reilly says Dean says
I have a right wing friend who says O'Reilly says Dean said, "Republicans are Evil."

Anyone heard that statement from Dean? Does it sound like something Dean would say, to you? Doesn't to me, but I don't listen to political speeches very much so maybe he doees say things like that.

Are such mis-quotes typical of O'Reilly? My friend is convinced he didn't mis-hear O'Reilly. He is convinced O'Reilly is fair and balanced.

Anyone have evidence of O'Reilly being off balance?

Thanks

1. O'Reilly is a moron, but
I think he's referring to the battle between good and evil. :)

5. Apparently the gist of what he said...
....and I'm paraphrasing here, is that our current political climate in this country is a battle between good and evil "and we're the good".

Said at an event in Lawrence, KS.

lot's of them have turned out to be serial killers.

I heard O'Reily is a child rapist.

Ask your friend if he sympathizes with child rapists
because some people say O'Reily is one.

8. O'Lielly just likes working himself into a good lather - ha, ha
Besides, repubs ARE evil.
They kill people for no reason, starve the poor and want to turn old people into homeless people.
Yup, sounds evil to me!

As for Dean, Howard said something like "I hate Republicans and what they stand for, but they organize well".

What Dean meant to say was "I hate all lying fuckhead, Repuke bastards". And to that, I say "ditto".

He said it in KS, and it was quoted on CNN today. It is causing them to flip their wigs. I love it.

15. Here you go. I found the quote.
"Moderate Republicans can't stand these people (conservatives), because they're intolerant. They don't think tolerance is a virtue," Dean said, adding: "I'm not going to have these right-wingers throw away our right to be tolerant."

And concluding his backyard speech with a litany of Democratic values, he added: "This is a struggle of good and evil. And we're the good."

CNN quoted that today, it is from a fundraiser at a private home with media peeking through the fence and Dean speaking through a loudspeaker so other could hear. I love it. Guess who he is mimicking. LOL

19. It's about time someone calls it like it is!
The ReTHUGS do NOT hold the moral high ground. They are GREEDY, IMMORAL, MURDEROUS, OPPRESSORS.

They should not be allowed to hide behind their fake "Christianity."

26. I love this John Kenneth Galbraith quote:
"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."
John Kenneth Galbraith

That pretty much sums up the repub philosophy, doesn't it? :puke:

21. Explanation from previous thread
(copied from this thread)

Video - CNN Political Bytes - 2/28

Dean's quote is near the end of this video.

Watch the Video (2 minutes)

He used a microphone and his voice was amplified so people outside the fence of the private home could hear....they still made it sound secretive.

They say the fence had wide gaps, and people were just gawking. This is a pic from the DNC blog, you can see the fence.

27. Not kidding, trying to learn
I appreciate the responses from all of you. Some responses were actually what I was looking for, others seemed to be just more hate mongering (I like a good dose of hate myself once in a while).

I wasn't kidding. I, like many of you, are searching for ways to help my conservative friends understand how bad the media they watch is...let alone how bad that man they elected is.

My conservative friend is beginning to understand but it takes a gentler hand, because he is beginning to see just how bad it really is and that he was partly resonsible. It is hard to admit stupidity.

Thanks again.

John
