Corporate News Media Are Unacceptable ...
so where should a person go for objective source of current events?

Given CNM are sold out, how does one keep up with what is really happening?

What source of news and events do you turn to in the morning/evening?

1. wire services and the internet
I do not watch the main stream "news" coverage anymore. I'm no longer part of the guinea pig population and the media spin support for our new undemocratic nation.

2. DU:LBN!
Right there at your fingertips!

I always read stuff there before I see it anywhere
in the MSM news sites.

There's also the AP web page... I know it's a mite
biased but from there you can read the front page
of almost any newspaper in the country.

And Google News... Good source also.

4. DU's LBN and a stop at
the World Press Review, which has a good sampling of what the world is reading, because if we don't find out for ourselves how the world truly sees us we won't find out anywhere in our press.
Here's a good example...http://service.spiegel.de/cache/international/0,1518,343611,00.html">AMERICA AND TURKEY A Marriage Gone Sour

5. NYT is still a useful barometer. It also has links to Reuters and AP
The WashPost has become almost as useful as the supermarket tabloids, but not as amusing.

Boston Globe is owned by NYT, but is a bit edgier and more interesting -- some of their columnists are must-read.

LATIMES has some coverage the others often miss entirely. I don't know why.

Most of the rest of the US dailies -- particularly the big national chains -- are bird cage carpet.

Sad but true.

Read the UK papers - The Independent and and Guardian - if you want honest coverage of world events.
