Is it just me, or does it take longer for the sun to set?

I don't know, I could be out to lunch, but, here we are almost March and it still takes until almost 7:00 pm before the sun sets here in Southern Utah. I remember last year after daylight savings time ended that it would be dark before six.

Could that earthquake have really changed the wobble of the axis that much?

It's just something I've noticed in kind of a subtle way. It just seems different somehow. May we live in interesting times, I suppose. Has anyone else noticed?

It's winter, the days are supposed to be shorter.

then they get longer and longer. March 21 they are exactly even.

June 21 they peak.

8. Look, I understand all of that, but. . .

all winter I've noticed it hasn't been getting dark as early as it usually does after daylight savings time ends. Hell, I remember the sun setting around 5:30pm last year. This year, December through January, it was still dusk around 7:00pm. I work as a sports official around 6:00pm an I remember having to use my headlights last year when I would drive to the field. This year I haven't had to, that's all.

Oh well, guess I'm just someone focusing on the weird.

go buy an almanac. Check the listed sunrise/sunset times. The almanac was published before the earthquake.

If you can show times are off by an hour, you will have discovered something truly astounding. There might be a Nobel prize in it for you.
