One of the enduring mysteries for me since the invasion of Iraq and the tortures at Abu Ghraib, Baghram etc. was why there have been no street protests in countries like Egypt,Saudi Arabia, Lebanon,Pakistan and other Islamic nations? In Egypt and Pakistan, ruled with ruthlessness by U.S. puppet dictators,one can understand why this is. But, in countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and others where there are large Muslim populations one should have expected more vociferous protests. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

And no, I hadn't thought about that. They may very well be, but we'd never know about it from OUR Main Stream Media. Michael Jackson is on trial you know, then of course there's Charles and Camilla. THESE are the REAL stories Americans want to hear. :eyes:

2. There were protests at the beginning of the war

just like here. We don't go out in the street every day to protest. Also, their governments are not supporting the US effort, so whom is there to protest against?

Even that seems to have been absent this time.
