I've been following a thread on FR about the rally that Kristinn (chief DC Freeper, I guess) wants to have for Jeff Gannon. It's a pretty funny thread with the typical mindless drivel one expects from the kool-aid drinkers.....but the latest post there just caught my eye:

I've suspected that this Kristinn guy gets his marching orders from Rove....I wonder if this "rally" post was a gage post for the WH to see how the troops would respond with a follow-up WH strategy meeting to discuss the results. Notice the rhetoric: "War is on" "draw (circle(?)) the wagons." "Open your minds (Freepspeak to close them tighter, I think)"

The ambiguous "to" in this case has 2 different meanings. I guess I looked at the context of the rest of his statement and assumed they were having strategy meetings with Rove.

But, in retrospect, I suspect your right. IIRC, this Kirstinn fellow spends quite of time "at" the White House.

I hope they decide to have that rally....what a hoot and what an opportunity to ridicule them. They'd be out numbered 10-1, and think of the signage possibilities: "I'm Pro-Hypocrisy" or "Tax Cheaters for Gannon" or "I Love Press Whores".

If the WH thinks a pro-Gannon rally is a good idea, I've given them way too much credit.
