isn't it a wee bit coincidental that Bin Laden shows up again as a big terrorist threat at the same time Bushie and Ashcroft are pushing for a big brother agency to bring all local police under one command?

These are good old fascist tactics. Ratchet up the fear of the population and then grab more control to wipe out dissent. I wouldn't doubt it if Bin Laden is one of them.
