Someone just sent me an article from the Washington Post....

...about the war in Iraq being exactly what the terrorists were looking for to recruit more terrorists.


Now, suppose for a moment that instead of a war being waged against terrorism, Bush had made the purpose of invading the Middle Eastern countries, a war against all Arabs as a national group (i.e. All Arab countries = Arab nation).

Would it not follow that the Arab nation in an effort to defend itself could recruit Arabs to defend their national identity against an invading force?

I think yes, in the same way that Bush assembled a coalition of nations to provide military support for America's invasion of Iraq. Bush has marched our country to the very cusp of total war in the region. Syria and Jordon on the west, Iran and Pakistan on the east, Saudi Arabia to the south. Even Turkey could join in with their Muslim brothers and Egypt might just consider settling old scores with Israel.

The question to DUers and especially those of you who understand military strategy, how much of a fix would our U.S. forces be in should the major Arab nations with strong military capabilities unite on all of those fronts? If they took such action immediately, could the U.S. now send sufficient troops into the region to defend against such attacks? Who would join with the U.S.? Who would come in on the side of the Arabs?

Scary scenario, eh!

selection 2000 would never have considered raising a hand to any American... ever. Funny how one blooming idiot can alter the course of millions of lives.

...ordered the coalition advance on Iraq and let Saddam stay in power, there was a strong blood lust among many Americans that that war did not have closure. In fact the U.S. advance was stopped at the pleading of our Saudi allies. Then ten years later on 9-11 it was the militant faction of Saudi Arabia, Bin Laden and his terrorist band that again lashed out at the United States, if the official version of the U.S. story is to be believed, and off goes the son to seek vengeance and restitution against not the Saudis, not other militant Arab counties who were declared open enemies of the U.S., but a burned out, washed up, militarily castrated regime of Saddam Hussein and Iraq who were quickly overrun. Almost immediately, Arab insurgents made up of terrorist recruits began the resistance to the U.S. occupation until two years later, they have greater power than ever in the region and threaten perpetual war against the U.S.

between Muslims and Christians.

The powers that be in this world know that the earth cannot sustain the rate of population growth. But, here in the US they maintain power through their faux pro-life electioneering, so they can't push birth control here.

Having wars is a good way to be able to kill off a large number of bodies while lining the bank accounts of the global financier class.

They don't care about religious philosophy. They just know they can use it to justify death and destruction from both ends.

And I include Arabs like the Saudi royals and the Bin Ladens in that global powers that be group along with the Bushes, Bakers, King of Spain, and Chinese industrialists.

4. What we have here is a Crusade-Jihad

Those are the most accurate and succinct words to describe the realpolitik. The fear-filled Fundamentalists on all sides have ginned this thing up to Critical Mass, and are waiting for the "sign from above" to begin bashing in brains at an even more furious pace.

But this, too, shall pass. And far faster than any fundamentalist or fascist might ever imagine. Open up. The future is here.
