Just imagine if this had taken place in a Democratic administration? There wouldn't be enough hours in the day to report all of the sordid details to an unsuspecting America.

Impeachment would be immanent, Congressional Committees would abound, the "Liberal Media" would become a circus maximus of finger pointing, wild accusations and non-stop "experts" weighing in with their opinions.

Yep, the "Liberal Media" would do ALL of those things and MORE if Jeff Gannon/Guckert were a Democrat. But he's a Republican, so it's hardly worth a mention.

and so we had to hear about that for months. I agree the msm is scared, but I don't think they're entirely ignorant. In many ways, they're just bought and paid for, is all.

Tonight on both these shows they both addressed
the Gannon story and how Blog for America did the
investigation. How the facts were found...
I have to say I was very impressed they both gave
the blogosphere good praising and righty so on
this story. Kudos to them.

I can't remember the exact quote but one of the
sarcastic comics on the daily show said something
along the lines of.

How is the mainstream media to trust bloggers john?
I mean they use facts. The mainstream media has
creditial but bloggers they only have facts.

15. Amazing...

Went to a wedding. The subject of blogs came up. I was amazed at the number of people that were supplementing or actually getting news from blogs. MSM are suppose to report the news (opinions aside)and they aren't even doing that. People are starting to vote with their feet (eyeballs actually). They may not always post, but they read. And baby, once you've experienced jet fuel, it's hard to go back to unleaded. This one hole in the dike that Rove hasn't plugged....yet.

I am reminded of an article last month in Newsweek about Chinese dissidents. They said years ago, they would have to ride their bicycles for miles to get to Tienanmen Square and post a little piece of writing on the walls, at great risk. Only to be torn down by the authorities. They say today, the Internet Bulletin Boards have now replaced their wall. "The Internet is now our Tienanmen" they said.
