Heard This New Obfuscation On CSPAN
I think it was Monday, but may have been Sunday.

Asked about the missing billions from the Iraq money, a spokesman for the Pentagon said "It's not that it's missing, we just can't account for it."

What???????

If you can't account for it, then it's missing, right? My keys could be missing. It doesn't mean they evaporated or that someone stole them, but they ARE missing because I CAN'T ACCOUNT FOR THEM!

And besides, isn't this pretty much what Bernie Ebbers said about the WorldCom money right before he did the perp walk? So, if private business money can't be accounted for, it's a crime, but if public funds can't be accounted for it's ok?

It just get dumber and dumber; doesn't it?

6. "Missing" implies incompetence. Which does apply here.
Or is it somewhere in the Cayman Islands banks?

7. Either Way Is Bad
Two kinds of "feasance", right? Mal and mis? Both are punishable in courts of law, but one is criminal and the other is civil. Given this administration, either one is a safe bet.
