gay prostitution

That sounds like a cause the libs champion. Was there as much ruckus generated from the left when Barney Fwanks congrssional apartment was found to be a gay brothel?

Now that would definitely be news.

If it's all true, I don't see how the left could push the story too hard. Arn't they the one's who say most often that sex and lieing about sex shouldn't count?

Prostitution is sexual exploitation. I have a problem with that. Don't you, Mr muawiyah?

If it's all true, I don't see how the left could push the story too hard. Aren't they the one's who say most often that sex and lieing
(sic) about sex shouldn't count?

In my posts on the subject today, I called that angle of the story a red herring. I hope Mr. Gannon gets some help, as his cavorting with prostitutes is destructive to other people. Nevertheless, it is destructive neither to American democracy nor the institution of a free and independent press.

However, the White House's use of Mr. Gannon undermines the institution of a free and independent press, as do paying pundits to champion the administration's programs and paying a PR firm to produce a pseudo-news report on Medicare reform. As a citizen, I have a serious problem with that and as a taxpayer I have a problem with Bush's use of public funds to produce political propaganda for his benefit.

22. Here are a few
I see three themes currently. Try to bring in Frank ( I guess all gays are familiar with prostitution), attack us for making an issue about sex (tying it to Clinton), and an ecuse for them to rip apart all reporters personal lives!!

To: Pyro7480
Would the paragraph read accurately if it was posed as...

"The issue here is whether someone (Barney Frank) with connections to male prostitution was given unfettered access to Congress and copies of internal CIA documents.

???

They ain't throwing spitwads, folks. If you're going to play in the big leagues, you'd better be able to take what's coming at you.
By the way, the reason the "it's only about sex and it's nobody else's business" arguments don't apply to conservatives is because violation of our wedding vows is against OUR stated beliefs (including his stated, as he claims to be a conservative Christian). Best lesson of the day: either keep your skirts clean or your head down, and even if you keep your skirts clean, they'll still try to nail you. To them, his sin was supporting Bush, not the sex thing. The sex thing was just the tool.

The issue here is whether someone with connections to male prostitution was given unfettered access to the White House
Really? What about Barney Franks. Is that an 'issue'? And he's not just a reporter.

It won't be that hard to expose the private lives of the media, they have opened Pandora's box by doing this.

Great point. Now reporters' private lives are fair game?

I posted this comment on the yanked thread.
First, look at the headline:

Bush press pal quits over gay prostie link

Now, look a the first sentence:

WASHINGTON - A conservative ringer who was given a press pass to the White House and lobbed softball questions at President Bush quit yesterday after left-leaning Internet bloggers discovered possible ties to gay prostitution.

Notice the lack of "possible" or "alleged" in the headline. It's all part of the process of gradually converting spin into liberal versions of the truth. It used to be that such an omission would be a major journalistic faux paux - but now it simply means that the liberal slime machine is cranked up and running.

Because they're hypocrites. But that brings up another question: Why don't freepers like you have a problem with gay prostitution -- at least you don't seem to have a problem in this case, when the guy who's allegedly involved in gay prostitution is a Republican media type? Sorry I'm so consistent - - I blasted Clinton's sleaze, but I''m not going to close eyes to sleaze just because a Republican's allegedly involved.

Sort of like the spy Hansen hiding his online sexual escapades while pretending to be a patriotic, conservative catholic.

And I'm pretty sure frank didn't know that the call boy was doing business out of his home. (And Frank never hypocritically claimed to be a "family values" Christian model of virtue.)

14. Note the effect of media spin.
To them, this is all about liberal bloggers attacking a RW journalist for being gay. That's the spin the media has put on this and they've bought it, hook, line and sinker. They are captives of their own media and have no idea.

It's hardly occurred to them that this guy participated in the naming of a covert CIA asset, that he seems to have access to a secret memo supposedly leaked by the WH, and that his credentials are far below the normal standards required to be a daily member of the WH press corp. They aren't paying enough attention to see these very connectable dots.

They are sheep who have been told by their masters they are wolves. "Yah, I'm a wolf. Hoooowwllll!" they say, even as they are fleeced.

Fools.

15. Well, this looks like win-win for us!
Push the non-journalist with no credentials and a psuedonym being let into the WH press corps and on a first name basis with bush angle hard, and people have to see the complete incompetence and cravenness of the bush administration.

Push the gay prostitution angle, and you get freepers defending a guy who ran gay prostitution rings!!! Now THAT is hilarious!!!

But the freepers will never EVER understand it is NOT about Gannon being gay. I couldn't care less if he's gay. It's about the fact that he is a repuke and the repukes push an ANTI-GAY agenda very strenuously. So when one of theirs is outed as gay, it means they are also a huge hypocrite. And THAT (the hypocrisy) is the problem, not the homosexuality.

I love it. Got the freepers defending a guy running gay porn rings! It's like Christmas all over again!

45. PROPAGANDA
It's about the white house and propaganda. Paid journalists, fake news commercials, fake news web sites, and now maybe even a fake WH journalist. If we spin this right, it could be huge. I just read that they said on Aaron Brown that Gannon got his pass 6 days after Talon News web site opened. That fits right in with the Pentagon creating fake news web sites like balkantimes.com.

Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't; but there's enough smoke here that we can fan it into a wildfire.

IF we tie the pieces together and make it about something important. The gay prostitution stuff just makes it so people will keep paying attention, for a while.

After reading through the freeperville funnies, I can contribute a little.
Seems that the worst they can say is something about "our guy" being a "bit of a schmuck."

There is a lot of irrelevant thrashing around going on, but nary a concern about the thought of an undercover, obviously under qualified subversive being allowed to be, with blessings, within pistol shot of the 'president.'

The disconnection between their vaunted "values" and their choice of associates doesn't seem terribly important. Shows the depth of hypocritical depravity. (gag, choke)

The assumption that we should, somehow, give a shit about anyone's sexual proclivities is laughable.

They just assault Barney Frank, Clinton, Artois, no real consideration of the fact, or why the Left should be upset -- 'they like gays.' No, idiots, it's that he got in to daily WH briefings with a cracker jack journalism degree, no readers, threw out questions to derail any productive line of interview, all under a fake name. The fact that he's gay is only significant because he wrote AGAINST gay marriage.

And now he played a hand in Valerie Plame and setting up CBS and peddled BS through the Daschle campaign? He's a careless link to A LOT OF SHADY CRAP!!
