Lots of 10-year-old "pee-pee poo-poo" kind of jokes about sex. Not funny at all.
I would guess that he's an still anal-retentive, not quite at the sexual gratification stage.
I think the wives were mere window-dressing, sort of like Lisa-Marie Presley was to Michael Jackson. Sure, I know they produced a child, but Lisa-Marie basically left him because he was emotionally still a boy. I think Rush is the same.
But because Rush must appear the manly he-man, especially to his RW cronies and various hangers-on, he can't appear to be 'sexless'.
Hence, the sham marriages.
