The last funeral for a soldier killed in action in WWII?
Rest in Peace Pvt. Sharpe

George Sharpe, right, and his daughter Brenda Adams visit the casket that contains the remains of his brother, U.S. Army Pvt. Odell Sharpe, Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at a funeral home in Vidalia, Ga. Friday marked an emotional homecoming for Pvt. Sharpe's surviving siblings. They last saw their oldest brother during his ten-day leave in 1944 before he deployed overseas for World War Two. Sharpe was presumed killed in action a few months later at age 19. The military stunned Sharpe's family last month: his remains had been found in September 2003 by a Belgian search team.
