I have to admit that Drudge sometimes has good scoops, but he is a POS and I hate to drive up his hit count...

Oh, and if you're curious about the latest with Scott n' Laci, Brad n' Jen, or just the latest in right-wing spin, you'll have to go to one of the tabloid infotainment sites, like www.cnn.com, or the GOP propaganda outlet, www.foxnews.com.

5. BBC & Reuters Are Good For MSM... And They Both Have RSS Feeds
Edited on Sat Jan-29-05 06:59 PM by Tace
CommonDreams.org is a fantastic site for progressive news, and they have a comprehensive list of various news sources. And, keep your eye out for World News Trust http://worldnewstrust.blogspot.com / an independent 24/7 news media project with the enthusiastic support of Noam Chomsky, Mark Crispin Miller and many others, and the participation of a number of DU'ers. BTW, I just put up the blog today. Be sure to post some comment, questions and suggestions. Cheers, Tad Goodwin

I want to add that DemocracyNow.org is a model of independent progressive multi-media. They're not focused on breaking news, but they have a good daily report and fantastic guests on Amy Goodman's show, with streaming and on-demand audio and video feeds, and transcripts available at no cost.

11. Cadence -- That Will Be Great -- But We're Not In Production Right Now
Edited on Sun Jan-30-05 01:15 AM by Tace
We began initial production of print and radio content in early 2003, but stumbled after the second US Iraq invasion due to an array of problems. The project started up again after the November election and will begin producing and delivering content again soon. I'll be sure to keep you posted. Be sure to let me know the ULR for your site when it's ready. Cheers, Tad

7. Answer One Lie With Another
As noted above (great comments, folks), this is outright carpet bombing propaganda...and made to divide us even further. CNNservative is desperate to grab Faux viewers, since all of their moderate and Democrat viewers have all but vanished. It's fallen into line of their heavy Right Wing/pro-regime slant that has destroyed the network's credibility and driven a lot of us away.

This coverage is for the 50% or more like 30% that are stuck in the lies about this invasion. They bought into the lies and now have bought into so many they're fully conflicted and living in a parallel universe.

While most of us sit here and know this election is a sham and have pegged this invasion from before the beginning, nothing this regime says or does amazes anymore. If it's bad, it's got this regime's fingers all over it, and if this regime's fingers are all over it, it's gonna turn out bad. The cable networks are part of this lie and have to go along for the ride for fear of ratings, influence and revenues. Public service and the truth have no place here...neither do those of us who don't buy into any of these lies and find this coverage repulsive.

The future history of this ugly, dirty war will note this "election" as one of the low points in both representative government and American history...but it won't be a point where light shines, but things only get darker.

The shame on those in the media who know the truth about this invasion and still continue to play mouthpiece for a regime that either pays or uses them (or both)...there's blood on their hands and it's time we get up voices and call them for what they are.
