Costco Given Props For Helping In Train Disaster
I don't have the details, but local news and LA officials, have made a point on several occasions, of thanking Costco and their employees for providing aid and provisions following this morning's commuter train crash, which killed 10 and injured 200+.

Nice to see a "Blue" company doing good and getting commended for it. Let's all go out and buy a family sized box of cereal at Costco tomorrow. :-)

2. That's my neighborhood Costco.
Glad to see them helping out on such a tragic day. The whole neighborhood here is pretty saddened.

3. Costco is the best!
I remember e-mailing 3M corp. after 9/11 begging them to send respirators to Ground Zero. All I ever heard was that there was a shortage of masks for workers there. Businesses like that just make me sick. Probably a red company.

4. From the LA Times

Many of the injured were city and county employees, Mayor Jim Hahn told reporters. "We are in mourning today, but I hope we can learn from this to prevent anything like this in the future."

Most of the injured were treated in the light rain at a triage center established in a nearby Costco parking lot. Hahn praised the Costco employees, who were the first responders and helped with supplies, for "being angels in the city of angels."

5. What should happen to the mentally impaired man who caused this tragedy?

6. He was suicidal, but I guess not enough to stay inside the car
and he was deliberate about parking his
car across the tracks not on the road
crossing.
He'll be charged with multiple manslaughter
which is appropriate and he'll be put away
for a long time.

This is just one example why a "war on terror"
is so absurd, when any citizen, depressed or
otherwise can cause harm to others randomly.

7. Just write a letter to Costco
thanking them for their benevolence after such a tragic catastrophe.
