Satan Displays Bush 'Hook 'em' Hand Gesture; Is The Devil a UT Fan Too?

If this has been posted before, I apologize.
I always thought this was weird because so many other people are doing this signal that has nothing to do with Texas. When I was a kid I used to be able to buy a necklace with this hand symbol on it. I was told it was for good luck and to ward off the evil eye. Any comments on this? Is this some sort of neocon hand sign or what? lol

The "Devil" sign is a "Thumb & pinky".

UT's "Hook 'em horns" is "index finger & pinky". :)

You can see it's not the thumbs and these people don't appear to be longhorn fans. I have seen Clinton do it. Is this some sort of rich frat boy sign? Has anyone seen Kerry do it? I have seen Prince Charles do it. I don't know about the so called Devil sign, I was wondering WTF they are doing it for. Bush makes sense since he lives in Texas, but Clinton and Prince Charles? Personally I like * one finger salute over the Texas one.

2. There are 3 hand things that look similar

With the thumb out is "I love you" in American sign language.

With the index finger down, just pinky and thumb, is chaka (good luck?)

Index and pinky up is satan or the longhorns, depending on context.

That site is either lame or they have purposely ignored the difference in those hand things (McCartney and Liz Taylor) just to make hay.
