Anybody up for an email campaign to the media (esp. Russert)?
There are a lot of people here who think that the media will just let this go. I don't think they will. Their desire for the scoop may have finally overridden their love for the Shrub.

BUT, just in case, I think we should start emailing the major news outlets and reporters with something like the following message (the idea for which I got on another thread here):

You were used. You were used to convince the American people we should to go to war, you were used when you were "embedded," and you're being used now.

Some of your colleagues died in this war. You owe it to them, and to the nation, to find and report the truth about what the President and his advisors knew, and when they knew it.

I think if we push the message that Bushco's lies have affected them personally, it may make a difference. I particularly think Russert needs to hear from a lot of us before tomorrow morning. Hopefully then at least we won't hear "the American people don't care" on MTP.

1. Also consider adding this line:
Did you become a journalist to be in the steno pool for the GOP?

6. I like the line but would change
the GOP to the words this administration. They will only say its those dems complaining again by pulling party politics into it.

2. hmmmm
The news networks are merely throwing us a bone. They are facing mounting pressure since no WMD have been found, the blackbox voting issue is starting to grow legs, and BBC threatened the news networks over here with creating a branch here in the US. More pressure needs to be applied.

5. I am all for it but I also think that it would be beneficial to organize a
boycott of the regular news. Watch PBS, listen to BBC on NPR. Get the information from the Guardian, etc.

Organize a sponsor boycott.

Even the larger papers that refuse to use their investigative journalists to look into this.
