Now that we are starting a holy crusade to spread freedom, will
we be invading countries like China and some of the former Soviet states? Why are we only talking about countries with dark skinned people like Iran and Syria?

1. Get ready for WWIII........
Worm-boy: “We are ready for the greatest achievement in the history of freedom”.

Its not too hard to see where this is going. This guy is on a roll.

Someone please wake me from this nightmare!

Maybe NATO & the U.N. will invade us to stop King George.

2. The loss of the original Crusades was the best thing to happen
to Western Civilization and Christianity. The closest comparison I can see is George W. Bush and St. Louis of France. Louis was captured and eventually ransomed from Egyptian captivity (which is probably why Napoleon went into Egypt in late 1700's). Both men devout Christians.

God does work in mysterious ways. I only hope that Bush, when watching "Patton" will pay attention to the part where the Roman general returning in parade has a slave whispering in his ear...'all victory is fleeting...'

5. where are we going to get the troops and money from for this endeavor?
Last I checked, we didn't have enough troops for Iraq, and some programs will have to be cut to meet the needs in Iraq. Where will we get the 'assets' to carry out this 'holy crusade to spread freedom'? Not that I am putting this past the whole Bush crowd, but at some point you actually have to have bodies and $$.

8. ...from the poor and the middle class. They'll raise taxes on them
and give tax cuts to the wealthiest 1 1/2% and when time comes to pay the bills, they'll blame the Democrats who went along for the ride.

9. oh how right you are! How could I blank out like that?
I could be wrong, but isn't this similar to the reasons that started the french revolution? Bastille day? etc... I need a history lesson. If this happens, I predict major revolutions here in U.S. I don't think they will let Shrub get that far.

11. That's why they're cutting financial aid
Programs such as the Pell Grants -- got to have lots more desperate 18-year-olds who see the military as their one chance for a college education and getting out of economy-free hellholes.

Just look at the fact that West Virginia's two examples of military prowess :eyes: -- Jessica Lynch and Lynndie England -- both joined up for the education benefit.

6. That depends on how much oil they have.
It is all about money, not religion and racism. That is just a bonus for them.

12. There is discrimination involved
I was just kidding, of course, about the racism (though I'm sure Bush feels that he's above most people in this world). Bush discriminates based on how easily he can conquer a country. He's not going to attack China because they can't be defeated. If we tried to meddle in Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan, Russia would take umbrage and come to their defense. Bush, like all school yard bullies, will only beat up countries that aren't strong enough to fight back.

But Bush is on a crusade just as surely as Richard the Lion Hearted.

14. The oil runs out in 35 more years...the clock was ticking since '73
read "Crossing the Rubicon" by Mike Ruppert www.fromthewilderness.com
and also see www.oilempire.us

The alternative to oil IS the solution. Dems should be fighting for it.

7. Because those people, the Bush people, are insuring that they will
continue to be free to enjoy privilege and taking whatever they want by enslaving the rest of the world for thier benefit. The freedom is for them, not anyone else and anyone who believes in them are dellusional and will learn to regret their mistake in supporting them. These people are nothing more than bigoted racists and pirates. The benefits will go to them and no one else.

15. We're already there
"some of the former Soviet states?"

We're already in almost every one of them. We don't have to invade them. We just show up with a military base, or a business firm, and they let us in.

China on the other hand, who knows what happens there. That's such a complicated, intertwined, tangled situation, I don't think anyone can predict anything. Yes, they own a lot of our debt, and make everything we buy, but I'm sure it's more complicated than that.

They could make us impotent real fast.

I guess China doesn't need freedom and liberty.

19. Bush doesn't have the balls to go after Russia and
trade with China is too important.

What pisses me off is his blatant bastardization of the words liberty and freedom. *sigh* This is going to be a loooong 4 years.
