A bumper sticker I can't figure out
Driving on I-59 in south Mississippi Wednesday, an old truck passed me with the following bumper sticker prominently displayed on the tail gate:

HE DIED IN AD 37
GET OVER IT

I've never seen that before and I don't quite know what it means. An atheist chant? I can imagine the dismay of all the christians driving down the highway seeing what an American in America is free to put on his truck. Another reason to get rid of that damn constitution.

4. The truck was going real fast
but I thought it said AD 37. I probably will never see the truck or the driver again.

10. I think that's correct
and that they lost a phantom three years between the AC and DC BC and AD stuff. I understand JC died at 34, in the year 37. Fundamentalist fuzzy math, don't you know?.

People too stupid to understand Irony shouldn't play around with metaphors, IMO...

11. BILL HICKS
Bill Hicks did a routine concerning people who complained about his obsession with the death of John F. Kennedy. (I'm paraphrasing here...) They would say "It's been 30 years. Get over it." He said he would reply "It's been 2000 years since Jesus died. Get over it!"

Or something to that effect... It's been a while since I listened to it.

"He's dead; get over it" bumperstickers that refer to Paul Wellstone.

"He died in AD 37; get over it" would be a great rejoinder.

ON EDIT: Are you sure it was AD 37? King Herod is known to have died in 4BC, which makes it the latest possible date for Jesus' birth. So if Jesus was crucified at age 33, then the date would be AD 29.
