Iraq a new terror breeding ground
Iraq has replaced Afghanistan as the training ground for the next generation of "professionalized" terrorists, according to a report released yesterday by the National Intelligence Council, the CIA director's think tank.

1. 3 years too late.
Some of us had this figured out before the bombs started falling.

2. Didn't Take Long For Goss To Crack The Whip
I heard a great report comparing this invasion to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1980 and how there's more of a parallel here than to the U.S. in Vietnam. While Vietnam stayed pretty much a civil war within the boundries of that country, the Iraq invasion has opened the doors and borders, like Afghanistan did, to any Arab nationalist or religious zealot to play soldier-of-fortune/jihadist. It also creates a safety-valve for our ertswhile friends like the Saudis and Egyptians and others who not only tolerate but abet in the funding and transportation of lots of these "insurgents". Nice going, Junior!

What's incredible is we'll soon hear that we have a better CIA than what we used to have and this report is proof that things are "getting better". It's just toilet paper for those in power now to cover their asses from the past messes as opposed to the ones they're currently creating.
